Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle in Methuen

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

METHUEN, Mass. – March 13, 2025 – A pedestrian, Erika Newvill, 23, of Haverhill was struck and killed by a vehicle in Methuen on Tuesday night at approximately 7:10 p.m., the Office of the Essex County District Attorney confirms. The operator of a 2014 Honda CRV was traveling on Merrimack Street (Rt. 110) when their vehicle hit Newvill in the area of 301 Merrimack Street.

The Methuen Police Department responded to the scene and Newvill was transported to Lawrence General Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The Methuen Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating the incident.
