DA-elect Tucker to participate in ceremonial swearing-in
Paul F. Tucker will participate in a ceremonial swearing-in as he prepares to assume his duties as Essex County District Attorney.
The event will occur at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, in the auditorium at Salem High School.
The ceremony will included a procession of uniformed county police chiefs; State Police Colonel Christopher Mason; Supreme Judicial Court Associate Justice David A. Lowy; Salem District Court First Justice Randy Chapman; and other local dignitaries. State Sen. Joan Lovely, D-Salem, will serve as emcee.
There also will be a procession of Essex County assistant district attorneys prior to their own ceremonial swearing-in.
Among those making remarks will be former Essex County District Attorney Kevin Burke; outgoing D.A. Jonathan A. Blodgett; Justice Lowy and Judge Chapman; as well as incoming D.A. Tucker.
The public has been invited to attend, and there will be a reception afterward.
