LAWRENCE, Mass. – January 9, 2025 – At approximately 9:08 p.m. Tuesday night, while crossing Broadway in Lawrence in the vicinity of the McDonald’s restaurant located at 50 Broadway, Luis Zamora Gonzalez, 66, of Lawrence was struck by a 2014 Buick Enclave and by a 2018 Infinity QX30. The Lawrence Police Department, Lawrence Fire Department, and medical personnel responded. Zamora Gonzalez was pronounced deceased on scene.

The incident is being investigated by the Lawrence Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“Our sincere condolences are with the family of Luis Zamora Gonzalez,” said Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. “We hope that they may find strength in community during this very difficult time.”
