FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LAWRENCE, Mass. – August 13, 2024 – State and local police are investigating after a shooting at 91 Bennington Street in Lawrence that left one person deceased and two other victims injured. The shooting took place at approximately 1 a.m. in the early hours of Monday, August 12. The victims and the suspect are all Lawrence residents. Parties involved were known to each other and the shooting is not considered a random act. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the family of the victims as they begin to cope with this devastating loss and traumatic shooting,” said Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker. “I appreciate the ongoing efforts of Lawrence Police, Massachusetts State Police, and our prosecutors who are all working diligently to bring the person responsible for this awful crime to justice.”

All suspects and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
